I was sick today, but we made it to church. Dilara has liked to watch Antiques Road Show since she was about 4 years old, if not sooner. "I wonder if you can bring animals to a road show. Probably not because they might run everywhere and they nnight lose therm." About a scrimshaw whale tooth..we looked at some others on the internet and she noticed that whale's teeth looked different. I told her that hers do, too There was a rattlesnake basket some Indians in California made and she wanted to know if the Indians worshipped rattlesnakes. She woke up early this morning and before church she was doing some interactive learning games and came across a dung beetle, so we watched a youtube video and she asked if they like all kinds of dung. She also learned that Egyptians held the scarab sacred.

Dilara wanted to put this on her "Art" page...God's Art. I wanted to put it here, too, to make sure we didn't overlook it. A couple of weeks ago, she asked me where God got all his ideas, since he made everything before there was TV or internet, LOL.--Lydia Lydia here. Quick notes....we did a video but it messed up. We had a great day. Church, home for a while, played outside with dogs. Great weather. Istanbul Restaurant for lunch. Dilara ate 2 bowls of lentil soup. I never make that kind of lentil soup. We also had tabbouleh, rice, kofte. I was needing some meat and we hadn't eaten that for a while.
On the way to the restaurant, Dilara said, "Where does God get his ideas? He's so creative. He didn't have T.V. or anything to get ideas from." The zoo was PACKED. We had snow a little over a week ago and today was definitely like spring, although we have a few days before it is technically springtime. She wanted to ride the carousel and then she spent a LONG time with the goats. That is actually all we had time to do before we had to leave for church again. This morning her Bible Class lesson was Jonah and the whale. This evening the sermon was "Pleading With God" and I think it was a little over her head. I just got her a new Bible a few days ago and during the worship service, she read the whole book of Jonah by herself and drew a picture, which I will post soon. She didn't quite understand about the worm, but she did get the 3 days, 3 nights. The picture is very nice. I'll add it ASAP. We also finally got some seeds started tonight. Should, could, would not shod, wod, cod. Three spelling words mastered today.
